Miscellaneous - Camera Shutter Count

What is Camera Shutter Count?
Camera Shutter Count is a free online tool that tells you how many photos your camera has taken. This number is sometimes called the "shutter actuation count" or just "shutter count".
It works by reading the EXIF data stored inside your photo files. Most cameras record the shutter count in this data every time you take a photo.
How to use it
- Take a photo with your camera
- Upload that photo to camerashuttercount.com
- The tool reads the EXIF data and shows your shutter count
That's it. Your photo is not stored or shared - it is only used to read the shutter count, then discarded.
Why can't I get a result?
Not all cameras store the shutter count in their photo files. If the tool can't find a shutter count, it usually means your camera model doesn't include this information in its EXIF data. This is common with some phone cameras and certain mirrorless models.
Try uploading a photo taken with a different camera to confirm the tool is working.
Is this the same as Digital Photo Gallery?
No. Camera Shutter Count and Digital Photo Gallery are separate services built by the same team. Camera Shutter Count is a free standalone tool - you do not need a Digital Photo Gallery account to use it, and creating a DPG account will not help you find your shutter count.
